Economic Mobility & Workforce Development for Families Building Independence
WHAT WE DO
Creating a warm hand-off to local employers
At Solutions for Change, we know homelessness is not solved by housing alone. Families need stability, accountability, healing, and a real path to economic mobility and independence. Work is one of the most important bridges between crisis and long-term independence.
Through Solutions Enterprise, we are building a local employer network that can help open doors through warm hand-offs, career guidance, paid training, on-the-job learning, and fair consideration for qualified candidates.
Solutions Enterprise connects Solutions for Change students, graduates, and eligible family members to employment, paid training, and career pathway opportunities with mission-aligned employers.

Solutions Enterprise is not asking employers to lower standards.
We are asking employers to help us understand the standards, prepare candidates to meet them, and give qualified referrals a fair chance.
As part of the Solutions Enterprise employer network, participating organizations agree to:
1) Affirm Mission Alignment
Support the belief that families can overcome homelessness, poverty, addiction, trauma, and dependency through accountability, opportunity, and meaningful work.
2) Designate One or Two Liaisons
Assign one or two contacts from human resources, talent acquisition, operations, workforce development, or another department to work with Solutions Enterprise.
3) Share Hiring and Pathway Information
Maintain open and ongoing communication about available roles, qualifications, certifications, background requirements, hiring timelines, paid training, internships, apprenticeships, and partner-based opportunities.
4) Help Prepare Stronger Candidates
Provide insight into the skills, work habits, training, and expectations needed for Solutions candidates to be competitive.
5) Give Qualified Candidates a Chance
Provide fair consideration through a warm hand-off process when Solutions Enterprise refers a prepared and eligible candidate.
